The short version
unpolished.app is a wall of small games. No ads, no ad or tracking networks, no cross-site tracking, no accounts. We collect the bare minimum needed to run the games and to count, in aggregate, how many people stop by. Anything you submit — a link or a video — is meant to be public, so don't submit anything you want kept private.
Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-first measurement tool. It sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device, does not fingerprint you (it doesn't identify you by IP address, User-Agent, or any other signal), does no cross-site tracking, and stores no IP addresses. All it produces is aggregate counts — page views, referring sites, rough country-level location, and page-load performance — so we can see how many people stop by and which games get used. None of it is personal or tied to you.
Keeping the games fair
A couple of games tell players apart without accounts by deriving a short, one-way hash from your IP address: Global RPS uses it for its 24-hour lockout, and Daily Vibes uses it to stop one person stuffing the vote. The raw IP is never stored, and the hashes are short-lived (Daily Vibes' resets every day) and can't be tied back to you.
Third parties
- Cloudflare hosts the site, runs the network, and provides our privacy-first analytics, so it processes connection data (including IP addresses) as our infrastructure provider, per Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- Google Fonts serves our typefaces and may log standard request data, per Google's font privacy policy. Google's favicon service (in The Links) loads the small site icons, so Google may log those requests too.
- YouTube (in Daily Vibes): choosing to play a video loads YouTube's embedded player, which may set cookies and collect data subject to Google's privacy policy.
No advertising networks, no behavioural-ad trackers, no data brokers.
No accounts, children & changes
You use everything as a guest — we don't ask for or collect names, emails, or passwords, so we don't knowingly collect personal data from anyone, including children. We may update this policy as the games change; the date above moves when we do.
